Execution and Exile

If a civilian acts out of line against the military, if a soldier begins asking too many questions, or if an officer, captain, or lieutenant misbehaves, they are subject to trial. They are also subject to trial if they break the general law or commit crimes such as murder, sabotage, mutiny, ect. Trial puts a character up before the five Generals, who will review what evidence is stacked up against the character for whatever they're put on trial for.

EXILE

Anyone who commits third degree murder, any serious crimes, or who picks around and snoops to much is subject to exile.

Exile is when an individual is put into Strife and released into a specific part of the world with other exiled individuals. Those exiled are hidden in parts of the world that no middle class or higher classes can find, however the poor and those Soldiers who began as poor can weasel their way around and find exiles if they try hard enough. That behavior comes with high risks, however, as any soldier or civilian caught trying to find an exile may be executed or put on trial, depending on the severity of the disobedience.

EXECUTION

Anyone found guilty of treason, mutiny, or undermining authority is subject to execution. Anyone who is caught snooping more than 2 times will be executed immediately without trial.

Execution is typically public for Soldiers and private/individualized for civilians. It kills a character permanently and forces the creator to start again as a brand new character. There are a few loopholes around execution, however if you're being considered for excution, it's already too late for most ordinary grace periods and mercy deals. Execution is reserved for serious offenders.

By signing up for this project, you acknowledge the fact that these game mechanics are what will make the game functional and are in no way intended to be a personal offense against you or your character. If you feel something was decided unfairly, please contact me and we (the Generals, you, and myself) will discuss it in private.
