Who Are You?

Hi there! My name is Era Lanke, and I'm a current senior at the Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI). I am a double major in Animation and Creative Writing, and I will be graduating May of 2015!

What's the Purpose of This Project?

This project is made to explore the creative process when including live interaction from an audience. As an artist and an author alike, feedback and critique is extremely important to story development, and I have explored this idea through personal leisure via roleplaying online (both on and off tumblr) for over 14 years. This experience is like nothing else an artist will ever explore, and I wanted to see if I could incorporate it into a project where people could actively see how their feedback and their interactions change a set amount of characters and an environment.

How Does it Work?

The project is simple: I have a certan amount of blogs set up where I will be writing as if I am the character based upon the blog. From there, you, the audience/reader, will be able to interact with them. You can reblog their posts and type responses, you can send them asks, send them pictures, so on so forth. The only thing I ask is you be respectful and do not:

  • Be annoying

  • Steal my content

  • Ignore my rules

  • Forget that IC (In character) is not OOC (Out of Character)

  • Forget that these characters are fictional

  • Bother me OOC for any one particular reason repeatedly

  • Pester me OOC when a character tells you something is "Classified"

Each character will have their own set of stories, information, and rules/warnings on them, read them all closely. Respect each individual as you would respect a real person, but don't be afraid to push boundaries in an attempt to see if they grow! Much like real people, some may be more willing to discuss things than others. There will also be certain people a character may talk to more openly than others. It just happens!

Did You Draw and Write All This Content?

Yes, I wrote and drew almost all of the content on both this wix website as well as my tumblr blogs. Any content I did not make will be listed/tagged/credited as such. I did not make any of my themes, blog music, or any reblogged (non-rp) content unless otherwise stated.

How Did You Come Up With This Content?

I originally had a fancharacter I made for one of my favorite series and became so attached to her I wanted to make her own story. I was walking out of a movie theatre when the idea struck me and I rolled with it until it became what it is today. It's heavily inspired by all kinds of things- Tite Kubo's Bleach, Trigger's Kill la Kill, Capcom's Monster Hunter, Madhouse's Redline, and many, many other things I absolutely adore.

FAQ

Here are some of the more common questions I'm asked both about this project and myself as an artist. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and ask- but only after you have read this section to see if your question has been answered or not!

What Programs Do You Use (to Do Your work)?

I use a 5 year old Macbook Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud, a mixture of a Wacom Bamboo Tablet and a Cintiq (when I can get my hands on one), and occasionally a sketchbook and pencils.

Can I Make a Character for Strife?

This is a tricky question to answer due to the nature of this story. You cannot make your own monster/soldier/oc for strife without my explicit permission. The only exception is if you have no characters of your own to roleplay with, in which you will request help and I will help figure out what to do so you can interact more appropriately with my characters. The only reason for this is because I do not want someone to create a character then claim my content as their own.

07

This is So Cool! Do You Take Requests/Art Trades?

No. At this time, I do not take art trades unless I request them personally. I rarely ever do art requests.

08

Do You Do Commissions/Freelance Work?

Yes! I am currently open for independent/individual commissions and I am open for freelance work. My commissions have set prices, however if you want freelance/contracted work, you will need to contact me for an estimated price depending on what you want done.

09

How am I Supposed to Interact With You?

Please read through the How To Play tab (and those inlayed into it). They will tell you how to interact with me. If you have no idea how to roleplay, please seek my Guides.
