PROJECT STRIFE
Are You a Soldier or Civilian?
THE CIVILIAN
Civilians are the ones restricted to the surface of the planet. They cannot go up to the floating continent, but they can migrate across the planet wherever they want (as long as they can afford it). If you disobey a Soldier as a civilian, you run the risk of being bad mouthed and having your class stripped from you. If you disobey an Officer as a civilian, you will be executed.
There are a few types of civilians, but most notably are the four classes: Nobles, Middle Class, Merchants, and the Poor. Classism is extremely prevalent in Project Strife, so whatever class you pick is the class you will remain throughout the entirety of the project unless you manage upon some sort of blessing.
----
STARTER CLASSES
Middle Class people are just as their title states: neither poor, nor rich, but are still somewhat comfortable. These people are typically farmers or workers who keep the cities up-to-date and help keep the nobles content in reward for a nice wage and a comfortable living space. They are less protected than the Nobles, however their houses are secure and include basements they can escape to should there be a monster scare. Middle Class members are typically well-grounded and aware of their circumstances, but comfortable enough to ignore them in hopes of the next day being a little more comfortable than the last.
The Poor are the most widespread class and are also the most neglected. Soldiers do not guard them nor do they listen to what they have to say, leading most of the poor in the slums around cities to become their own little clans of centralized government that takes care of themselves. Uprisings are common among the poor, however with the constant threat of dying because of a monster attack, most poor civilians spend their time and resources on survival, not revolt. The poor are the most self-aware class, as they have to suffer the worst end of the stick, and typically trust no one outside their own class.
----
PROMOTED CLASSES
The Rich never leave the cities and are much like the rich folk of today. Their pureblood is their claim to fame, however there are hardly any true pureblooded families left due to the impact Strife has had on the population. Rich people tend to either be stuck up and snobby or air-headed and flippant due to their lack of understanding of the world. Both are completely unaware of the condition of the world outside of their fancy cities and often travel to other cities for parties, shopping, and live luxurious carefree lifestyles. Surface Soldiers guard the nobles from both monsters and outside classes, reinforcing their safety and classism.
Merchants are nomads who travel around the world as they please, whether its with their own hard earned money or some sort of illegal passing. Most higher classes find them completely shady and irresponsible, and Soldiers are hostile towards merchants who do not settle down and join a marketplace. Their disposition is typically an air of mystery and enchantment, and most of them can be considered adventurers as well as petty thieves. Merchants need to be prepared to sell their goods to any customer they can get, and may play a bigger part later on in the game.

If you are caught snooping where you shouldn’t be, you run the risk of being executed or banished. Being executed means you are no longer allowed to interact with any of the blogs unless you make a new character or a new blog (for a different character). Being banished means you are restricted to Noble Civilian access only and can no longer interact with any Soldiers outside of Ayumu.
NOTE: Being executed does not mean your character is dead in your universe, this simply means they cannot interact with the Project blogs anymore. This will only happen in extreme occasions.
Announcements will be updated both on this page as well as this blog as to who is being investigated for snooping, who is being arrested/executed, who is assigned where, what blog is opened/shut down for/from interaction, ect ect. It is important you pay attention to the project blog as well as the roleplay blogs you are interacting with as I may not reblog these announcements onto those blogs!!
