PROJECT STRIFE
Are You a Soldier or a Civilian?
THE SOLDIER
Soldiers are the most flexible, in that they can go between the surface as well as the Floating Continent (where the military resides) easily through staged missions and outposts. However, they are also the most restricted, as they have a Code of Conduct to follow and aren't allowed to ask too many questions about the government system. If you ask too many questions as a Soldier, you run the risk of being exiled or executed. If you disobey an Officer as a Soldier, you will be punished accordingly. If you disobey a Captain or Lieutenant as a Soldier, you will be demoted.
There are three types of Soldiers in Project Strife: Academy Students, Surface Soldiers, and Common Soldiers. Soldiers are allowed to roam freely among each other on the Floating Continent and are required to show their squad emblem before crossing into other squad territory.
----
STARTER CLASS
Academy Students are soldiers-in-training. Soldiers typically go through a vigorous year's worth of training with their weapon before being selected by squad captains to join their family (a family is essentially a platoon). If an individual does not pass the entrance exam, they're sent to three months of language and mathematics training so they can become literate enough to function within the Soldier society.
----
PROMOTED CLASSES
Surface Soldiers are soldiers who have been through the Academy, however failed their graduation test (aka were not selected by a squad captain) and now serve as a soldier who protects the surface nobles from monsters. They're typically less likely to survive in the long run due to being thrown into the battlefield near-constantly, however those that do survive for their first two years can petition to have a reevaluation done on their performance. A surface Soldier can petition once every two years after that until the captains deem them good enough to take in or poor enough to refuse by every single squad captain.
Common Soldiers are those who have trained in the Academy and made it into a squad right out of the academy, or have been on the surface, petitioned, and succeeded in being picked. These soldiers are the ones who do most of the grunt work and fighting for their specific families and compete amongst each other and their varying squads for bragging rights and squad pride.
Common Soldiers can gain higher ranks as well (see this page for more details):
A Privateer is a soldier who generally keeps up with the monthly writing prompts and missions assigned to them.
A Seargeant is a Privateer who is consistently timely with their monthly writing prompts and makes high grades on all missions assigned to them.

If you are caught snooping where you shouldn’t be, you run the risk of being executed or banished. Being executed means you are no longer allowed to interact with any of the blogs unless you make a new character or a new blog (for a different character). Being banished means you are restricted to Noble Civilian access only and can no longer interact with any Soldiers outside of Ayumu.
NOTE: Being executed does not mean your character is dead in your universe, this simply means they cannot interact with the Project blogs anymore. This will only happen in extreme occasions.
Announcements will be updated both on this page as well as this blog as to who is being investigated for snooping, who is being arrested/executed, who is assigned where, what blog is opened/shut down for/from interaction, ect ect. It is important you pay attention to the project blog as well as the roleplay blogs you are interacting with as I may not reblog these announcements onto those blogs!!
