I'm Not a Soldier, I'm Just Trying to Survive
A young genderfluid woman named Ayumu lives in the slums of Artia, the Capital of Nyra, with two children she adopted off the street. She's known as “The Mother” of her community due to her tendency to care for orphans who meet her off the streets and sometimes provide both her and her children with company. She struggles to make ends meet by hunting and living off whatever little scraps of money she can make by helping those around her, but finds that more often than not her children go hungry for a few nights – which drives her even harder despite the fact she usually gives up food longer than they do.
When she hears the Soldier PROGRAM is recruiting in Nyra soon and those who sign up will be rewarded with a comfortable livelyhood for their families, she's ready to serve a life-long term just to make her children happy and healthy. However, when she joins, she finds out that the system isn't as simple as it seems and there are some darker stories behind the PROGRAM and the floating continent of Gimorrah where all the soldiers live separate lives from the surface dwellers.
A question finally arises and Ayumu is faced with a choice: will she stay focused on her job to protect and save her children from a shitty life, or will she become involved in an even bigger scheme that threatens to shake up the world she knows and change the way it is,forever?
