Have an About Page

About pages are important and tell people who you are. As a Soldier, you'll be in the public eye a lot more often than you think, so it's required of you to explain a little bit about yourself. Here's the basics of writing an about page, and here are a few suggested things to put on your page for everyone to read!

  • Your Name

  • Your Preferred Gender

  • Your Height, Hair Color, and Eye Color

  •  A Breif Tidbit About Your Personality

  • A Short Biography

Participate in Monthly Writing Prompts

Every month a new post on both the website and tumblr blog will tell you what the monthly "theme" is. There may be a very specific idea or there may be a broadened idea for you to write about - it's all up to you on how to be creative with what you're going to write! There are only a few guidelines for the monthly writing prompts. A minimum of 3 prompts is required for full graduation.

  1. Try to be on time.

  2. Minimum length is two paragraphs (~6-10 sentences).

  3. Make the prompt relevant to your character, their surroundings, or their life.

  4. Tag the post as "strife monthly" so we can all read it!

  5. Send readprojectstrife a LINK submission to your prompt!

  6. Be prepared for it to be linked to on a website blog post.

  7. Make sure any triggers or NSFW content is tagged!

  8. Don't forget to title it!

Be Progressive!

A big part of this project is interacting with people. The more you interact in character, the more people will get to know your character and enjoy seeing them around! Or, if your character was meant for people to dislike, the more they'll understand them and give the expected reaction! Activity is important!

  1. Since the Academy doesn't let you onto the surface, and you're still not released with other Soldiers, try talking to fellow Academy Students.

  2. Have open discussions with any visiting Soldiers! Ask them what life is like, how they survived, what's their story, ect.

  3. Participate in the forums and upcoming contests!

  4. Write drabbles and short stories about your character or draw them.

  5. Advertise the project/refer your friends!

  6. Talk to me about planning out a thread with one of the NPC available!

And so on, so forth!

The Soldier Academy

Soldiers don't start out knowing everything right off the bat. There's a strict training regimen and lifestyle they must lead before they're allowed out on the field in order to be the best they can be for the services they're supposed to provide. The following are a few things Soldiers must do in order to maintain good grades and graduate.
